A Stroll through Munich

Friday morning we had no events in conjunction with the wedding.  Despite the weather not being the best, Frank and I drove into Munich.  Our first stop was the famous Marienplatz to see the clock.  We arrived just in time to see the clock play.  That's pretty good timing if I do say.  After seeing the clock, we walked to the English Gardens which is a famous park in Munich.  The park is beautiful and full of life.  Given all the rain, the surfers had luck in being able to surf on the river feeding into the park. It was fun to watch.  Unfortunately, we didn't have as much time as we would have liked at the park because we wanted to stop in Bad Tolz for lunch where we got some delicious schnitzel and then Frank took advantage of the pool and sauna at the hotel.  It was a great day.
