Thanksgiving was a success as we spent the day outside on our deck enjoying the last of the warm weather. Vincenzo and Costas helped our family polish off almost 6 holiday desserts. That was a first. The boys have decided that they love apple pie. In the past we barely made it through one pie. Wow! Anyway, we went to see Harry Potter today. The boys loved it! Roman enjoyed a play date with his friend Peter in the mean time. Someday when he is a little older he too can watch the Harry Potter series. For dinner, we finished off the last of the turkey in Turkey Tetrazzini. I wouldn't mind just one more sandwich, but we are out of turkey. I guess I will have to wait till next year. So, I have been playing around with Christmas card idea. Let me tell you getting photos of three wiggly boys is no easy task. I have to say my boys don't make very good photography models. One doesn't want to smile right now. Another when he smiles crunches up his nose and closes his eyes, or he doesn't look into the lens. I have been contemplating whether I should do one this year. I mean do people still enjoy getting Christmas cards in this day and age of facebook and blogs? What do you think about these card ideas. Which is your favorite?

Winston and Roman made these Thankful Turkeys to decorate our table
Five big turkeys sitting on the gate.
The first one said, "It's getting late."
The second one said, "Who goes there"?
The third one said, "There are farmers everywhere."
The fourth one said, "Let's run, run, run."
The fifth one said, "It's just Thanksgiving fun."
Then Gobble Gobble went the wind.
And out went the lights.
And the five fat turkeys were out of sight.

Christmas came a little early at least for one person in our house and that would be me. After wanting an iphone for a long time. My husband got me the new 4G. I love it! What is so cool is that I was able to talk with my best friend in Colorado while seeing her and her children using the italk feature. I love technology and another reason to be grateful this Thanksgiving season. Only 4 more weeks until we go on our cruise to the Caribbean. Yahoo!

Marmorkuchen: 2 sticks of butter softened, 7 oz of sugar (200g), 4 eggs- add eggs one at a time, a splash of milk about 3 Tablespoons, 2 packets of vanilla sugar, rum or vanilla essence (oil) you can substitute this for a teaspoon of either flavor extract. Then sift the flour and baking powder by using 13 oz of flour (375g) and 4 teaspoons of baking powder. Add to wet mixture gradually. Transfer 2/3 of the mixture into a greased and floured bundt pan. Then add 4 teaspoons of cocoa powder and 4 teaspoons of sugar with another 2-3 Tablespoons of milk. Then spoon over the top and with a fork swirl the mixture together creating a marbling effect.
Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour until done in the center. Let cool and dust with powder sugar.

Sorry, No photos of celebrities even though I have seen a few in my day. Even been on stage with a famous magician when I was 10 years old. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Maybe, this post would be more appropriately labeled popular. What is going down here in my house is this obsession for BeyBlades. Thy are medal tops that you battle against each other in this plastic arena whoever spins the longest win. The boys have been spending hours doing this each day. To go along with the game is a cartoon show and an online game. Also, Roman has learned how to sing recently and loves to sing especially in the car. Yesterday, I heard him singing I want to be a Rock Star from Nickleback.

And come to rest upon the ground
To lay a carpet, rich and rare,
Beneath the trees without a care,
Content to sleep, their work well done,
Colors gleaming in the sun.
At other times, they wildly fly
Until they nearly reach the sky.
Twisting, turning through the air
Till all the trees stand stark and bare.
Exhausted, drop to earth below
To wait, like children, for the snow."

My cousin Mia came over tonight to go Trick or Treating with the boys. She was a Spider Queen. Winston and Harris were both Demons and since Roman would still not war his costume he went as Hans from Hansel and Gretel. I don't know who went to bed with a bigger tummy ache, the boys or me.
