The Temple of the Six Banyan Trees Liurong

The morning began with a wonderful buffet breakfast that is provided by our hotel here at the China Hotel.  Even with being here in China now still 10 days, I get a kick out of the options at breakfast time.  We can get a pretty typical american breakfast, but also many European choices, and a hot Chinese meal which consist of everything from steamed bums, spring rolls, noodle bowls, rice, congee, lettuce, and a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.  Don't have to worry about starving.  Then we boarded the tour bus for a city tour and our first stop was the Six Banyan Tree Temple.  The Pagoda also know as the flowering tree pagoda has a history of more than 1400 hundred years despite not being the original building because it has been burned down and rebuilt.  People from all over the city come to worship Buddha  It also functions as a monastery. Those who come to worship light incense to get his attention and make an offering to thank him for hearing their prayers.   As not to overload you with photos, I thought I would break the day up into stops.  Well, it is late and we have had a long day.  Avery and I are off  to her medical exam in the morning.  Praying all goes well. Thank you to all who are following our story, saying prayers for us, and for the encouraging comments.  I can't begin to express how thankful I am !  It has been one week with Avery and I am falling deeper and deeper in love with this little girl.  She is amazing!  Until tomorrow!

How did I miss this temple when I was there? Oh well. It's another reason to go back for a visit soon. So glad to hear that the two of you are settling in as mother and daughter. It's not easy. And totally superficial me lives the big blue headband!
I can't get over the fact how utterly scrumptious she looks. How do you contain yourself not to nibble on her? ;-) Love, Dxx

Good luck with the medical. Having done both a nsn and an sn I can tell you the SN medical left me speechless as everyone thought we were nuts for adopting a baby with a heart condition. I had the heart condition, it was called love LOL

Avery is so cute in that photo, well all of them but I love her furrowed brow.
