Passport, ZhouKou and saying goodbye
First I have to apologize for the blurry photos Every time I hand my camera to someone the photos come back to me blurry. I am not sure why. Well, I know why at the civil affairs office is because someone switched the focus off to manual, but in Zhoukou I am not sure why. If I could do it again, I would bring a more simple point and shoot. So after eating a disgusting lunch at KFC, we got in a van and drove 2 1/2 hours south to Avery's home town. All I can say is Kansas meets district 11 from the Hunger Games. After handing over the paperwork for Avery's passport we went to the gate of her orphanage. Her orphanage does not allow visits. The building looks pretty nice on the outside. What we know is that it is a newer building and that only children live in her building. Sometimes orphanages house the elderly too! We took a couple of photos and as we left Avery waved goodbye. No joke, she waved goodbye! Then it was a three hour drive home!
