What's to Watch!

 

Here are a few of the movies I have been watching.  Love Again, with Celine Dion, Sam Heughan, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, is a feel-good love story about a young woman who loses her fiancé to a tragic accident and a young man who has given up on love. This light and airy movie is what you want to watch after a long day.  The next movie, Book Club Chapter Two, is about 4 friends who, after COVID-19, decide to go on a trip to Italy they never took to celebrate their friend's engagement years earlier.  This movie stars Candice Bergen, Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, and Mary Steenburgen.  Super funny is the best way to explain this!  Not really a movie you want to watch with your significant other.  This movie is definitely a chick flick.  Also, more geared for women of a certain age, which now includes me. The next movie I watched is  Air with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.  The movie is set in Portland, Oregon, and explores the rise of Nike and its collaboration with Michael Jordan. Historical, funny, and educational would be the best words to describe this film.  This is one I would watch with my husband. My favorite of all three movies so far.  The last movie that I watched, which I enjoyed, was the 2022 movie called She Said.  A true story based on news journalists Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, who looked into the sexual allegations against Harvey Weinstein, ultimately bringing forth knowledge of his behaviors, which then led to other victims coming forth, leading to his guilty charge and 16 years in prison.  I love these true story-based movies even when I already know some of the details from the news. The movie was very good at condensing years of information into 2 hours and 9 minutes. The movie stars Ashley Judd and Carey Mulligan, a lineup of other well-known actors, and a few well-known and lesser-known actors.  What are you currently watching?
