Home "Corner View"

As Dorothy says in the Wizard of OZ, "There is no place like home." Gradually but slowly we are making our new house a home. I would love to show you all the amazing rooms, but most are not completed at the moment. Some rooms don't even have furniture. We were hoping our old house would sell and thus use the money from the sale to purchase a dining room table and a sofa for the living room, but it hasn't sold yet. Let's pray it sells soon. Also, we needed blinds and didn't realize how expensive they were going to be, so all of our extra cash went into that. Here is the things I love about my new home.  I love my double ovens which allow me to make more than one thing at a time.  Oh baby, Easter Feast get ready! I love all the light that comes in the really large windows in my kitchen and living room. I love that I can plan this garden and add the flowers that speak to my heart. I spent the morning gardening and added purple saliva, tiger lilies, poppies, and an Eastern Snowball. I can't wait to go purchase the hydrangeas. I love my new laundry room. It is nice not to have the laundry stacked on my sofa.

It takes time to get a new home just the way we want it.

When a house is not "complete" you can dream at what it will be ;)
What I see is wonderful. So, I imagine your house, in a few months...

The most important thing is to feel good in your home and after, to have lots of wishes and ideas for the future!

You are lucky to have a garden, I would love to have one ... (an my husband works for the French Ministry of Foreign Affair so that is the reason why we go from one Embassy to an other)

Definitely this is what makes a home comfortable! I know what I'm talking about, living in a small student's apartment with the washing machine in the kitchen, a vintage oven from the 70s and NO garden at all (not even a balkony)!! ;o)
But...still my home is my castle, I love being there!

sounds like we are in similar situations ... our new home is more than twice as big as the one we come from and we need quite a lot of furniture and we also need to do some changes to the house to really make it our home ... and we can't afford to do everything at once.

Hope you sell your old house very soon so you have enough money to decorate.
