Reynisfjara and South Coast Day 2

On this stop, I am a little out of order as it was our last stop of the day!  It wasn't originally on our plan to go to this spot on this day, but when we learned about how close it was to where we were at the time, it didn't make sense to not go see it and we didn't want to have to drive back that far to go see it!  Honestly, there is so much to see and do here that I know we are going to need to make another visit to Iceland.  There just is no way we can fit it in all in 5 days. Reynisfjara otherwise known as the Black Sand did not disappoint.  So so beautiful!  This tourist spot is very popular!  It is almost impossible to get photos without the hoards of people there! Iceland has definitely become its destination.  One fact to know about this spot is that there is a lovely restaurant though we didn't eat there because we had already eaten fish and chips from a food truck.  The restrooms require money to use, but if you purchase something from the restaurant such as a drink, candy bar, or cake then you can use the bathrooms for free.

Dearest Kelleyn,
Glad to hear that you plan to go back and Iceland is not that far from the USA and within reach.
It sure is breathtaking in many natural ways.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Hugs,
Mariette

The black sands and those volcanic columns is a place I'd love to see. I understand the waters there are lethal.
