Heidelberg Weekend
Hi! Hope you are having a great weekend. We just hung out here in Heidelberg this weekend. We started Saturday morning off with a game of soccer along the river followed by a game of ping pong. Afterwards we headed into the city for a proper German meal. Yummy! My husband and oldest had schnitzel with pommes, Winston had rouladen, and Roman and I had pork medallions in a cream peppercorn sauce with spaetzle. A perfect day would not be perfect without gelato, so we all got a scoop. Later on, my husband watched Addy and Roman, so the big boys and I could watch the fireworks. Three times during the summer they on the first Saturday of each month they light fireworks and illuminate the castle to commemorate the wars against France and destruction of part of the castle. It was nice to just hang around town. Next weekend our friend Nadja is coming to visit us from Austria, and my husband is flying back to the states to do some work.
Remember when I was in London, and I said how fun it was to see the city getting all ready for the Queen's Jubilee?? Well, the festivities have started. Too bad I couldn't have been there this weekend. It would have been so much fun. Well, Maybe not with a baby because the crowds would be a nightmare, but if my husband and I could have been there without a baby then I think it would have been one of those things were you could say. I was there! Anyway, I found these images on line and thought I would share them with you. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did.
