Frankfurt for the Day!
Hello! While the states are having a heatwave we are having non-stop rain and cooler temperatures here in Germany! I actually had to put jeans and a sweater on today because it is so cold. It is ok! The children don't mind. They are actually learning the art of being bored. We have had non-stop Uno games, Monopoly, making bath bombs, building puzzles, and watching movies, Some of the movies we have watched so far are Cruella, Luca, Wishing Dragon, Skater Girl, and Yes Day. In the adult genre, I have watched a documentary series called the Devil Next Door and a documentary series on Formula 1 racing which I totally give this 5 stars. I have also read a book by Monk Kidd titled The Book of Longings and a lighter summer read called In Five Years by Rebecca Serle. Anyway in an effort to catch up on what is going on over here, a couple of weeks ago we drove into Frankfurt for the day. We spent the day shopping, eating burgers at Jamy's, and playing at the playground along the river. We just need some nicer weather to come our way now as yesterday we had to cancel a trip to an amusement park. Thankfully, I was able to secure a reservation for the indoor swimming pool. Germany is still a little strict on Corona Virus measures and most activities need to be secured with a reservation along with a negative test result or a vaccination card. Well, I hope you are soaking up every moment of summer. Till then-Kelleyn

Enjoy exploring the region with the kids.
Sounds like you got the same weather as we here in the heart of Georgia; daily thunderstorms and RAIN...
Hard to plan any bike riding!
The wettest spring + summer I can recall.
