New and Improved Roman's Surgery!

Hi!  We are home!  Roman had his surgery yesterday and all went well.  It was a little more complicated than expected because he required a stent to be placed in his pulmonary valve, but this stent allowed the valve to be opened to twice the size allowing greater blood flow to his heart and more oxygen to his heart.  It is actually a better outcome than we expected and hope that this will allow him to not have to have any other procedures until he is 17 as he will than be a candidate for a artificial valve.  Last night he was cracking me up as he didn't want to be hooked up to all the machines.  He said to me."Mom, I can't exist with all these machines attached to me."  He slept most of the day yesterday, and woke up today totally starving.  He ate French Toast, eggs, bacon, and a bowl of cereal. Thank you for all your prayers on the behalf of Roman and our family.  He will be hanging out at home for the next couple of days but that isn't such a bad thing! Have a great week!
