Corner View "summer"
With daily temperatures of 90 degree and above feeling more like a 105 degrees with the humidity we have been spending our days at the pool.
Who wants to cook; especially, when it is so hot outside! I found this really simple recipe yesterday that is so simple and tasty. While not a favorite amongst the children it is perfect served hot or cold for the big kids like me.

6 cloves of garlic chopped and sauteed
7 ounces of whole wheat pasta
salt and pepper to taste
2 tsp. of Olive oil
1/2 cup of water
2 cups of peas
1 cup of walnuts
1/2 cup of chopped basil
In a pan saute garlic with oil then add walnut. You can also bake this in aluminum foil for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Make sure they don't burn. Add to food processor with water. Once smooth then toss with cooked pasta. Add salt and pepper, bail, and peas. This recipe at first I wasn't too sure about. It was a pleasant surprise. Not only is it economic to make, but you do not need to feel guilty eating it. It is healthy for you! This recipe was adapted fro a recipe of Bob Greene's website called The Best Life.com.

ps) Lovely to hear from you!!
Have a nice day
We very well could have passed each other on the street in Seattle...or we were crammed together unknowingly on the busy days I went to Molly Moo (I had the ginger ice cream covered in hot fudge) or Bakery Nouveau!
Glad you got some quality 'you' time.
