I can't believe two years has passed since I started this blog. The blog was born out of the desire to record our 4 month adventure in Europe. Naturally, the blog took over what I had already been doing for years "
Scrap booking", and I haven't looked back. It has been a wonderful two years. I have not only recorded the day to day adventures of my life, but I have reconnected with old friends and met many new friends.
Thank you to everyone who reads my blog. It has been fun getting to know you. I have learned so much from each and everyone of you. Wondering what kind of cake this is? It is a Hummingbird Cake very popular here in the south, but not of Red Velvet kind of fame. It is
delish, and it is made with bananas, pineapple, and pecans bathed in a yummy pecan sour cream frosting. Oh Baby!!! You can't go wrong with that combinations. To get the recipe, go to the

I saw the recipie for Rouladen... this must be a Southern German meal. The spaetzle kinda gives it away. Thinking about it, I have never had spaetzle... hmmm, I guess it's about time to try.
