Dole Plantation

Good Morning from Hawaii or Aloha!  We arrived on Monday night to tropical smelling air and balmy breezes.  It was a long day of travel. After collecting our luggage, we drove an hour north to where we are renting a small house through Air B & B.  The house is super cute and located just across the street from the beach.  The next morning after sleeping in we headed to Waikiki where we walked around the city, got something to eat, and the girls played on the beach. It was a perfect day.  On Wednesday, we woke up to rain which is pretty typical here in Hawaii. You get a partially rainy day and then the sun comes out later in or you have a beautiful morning and it rains in the evening.  The big boys went scuba diving in the morning. Apparently, they had beautiful weather. They said they saw a ton of tropical fish, octopus, turtles, and Monk Seals.  Later in the day we drove up just past Turtle Bay to the most northern point on the Island and walked along the beach followed by dinner at Seven Brothers. The coconut shrimp is so so good and the chocolate shakes are the bomb.  Thursday morning we woke up to gorgeous weather. We drove to the Dole Plantation where we learned about Pineapple history here in Hawaii and how it is grown. We couldn't leave without trying some juice which was so refreshing. Afterward, we drove to get some shaved ice at Matsumoto's.  The line was super long, but it was so good. Then we made it to Sunset beach just in time to watch the sunset and play in the sand.  Today, the boys are off scuba diving again.  It is raining again, but we are enjoying a nice morning relaxing.  Hope you are having a wonderful day wherever you are and I will be back soon with more wonderful photos from Hawaii.

It's that maze that particularly draws my eye.
