Time for myself "Cornerview"

I am not sure I have much time for myself, but I don't think I would have it any other way.  I love being a mom.  I love being a stay at home mom.  I have always wanted to be a mom.  I find my happiness in serving those in my family.  I am so grateful that I have a husband who supports me in staying home with my children.  He works really hard so that I can stay home with them.  I just don't want to miss the moments.  Addy started walking this week and I can't imagine not seeing her first steps.  I do know that not everyone has the privilage to stay at home, so please don't feel like I am knocking on you.  So what do I do if I have a little time to myself?  I usually go to the gym, read a book, go to the movies, enjoy an occational mani/pedi, and I cook.  I love to cook.  I find it so theraputic.  This week I made peach jam with what is probably the last of the summer peaches.  So yummy! I felt so much joy the next morning when I knew my jam set.   I found this really good website this week that teaches you all you need to know on canning.  I can't wait to try canning tomatoe sauce.  Well, it has been a crazy day thus explaining why I am so late with my post today.  I am now off to soccer practice.  Have a great week!

I too love cooking for my little family. Kitchen is a magic place.

Thank you for the link to the website. I'd love to learn more about canning and preserving.

Hugs!
Yummy jam! I've been on both sides the working mom and staying home mom....both rewarding and hard....granted having one child everything is a little easier especially now. It's still important to take time for yourself...makes you a better mom, wife and friend.

I love you gratitude towards your Husband and all that comes with being a stay at home Mom. I was rolling the same thoughts around in my head this morning. With the economy times can be tough, but nothing can replace the memories of raising your children, and all the other special moments in between.Congratulations on the little one walking.

Kelleyn! I miss you and have so much to say!!!! I was catching up on your posts. Yes, I would love to kiss your sweet baby girl, she is a doll. Walking...time goes by that's for sure.

I wanted to also respond to your picture dilemma. I think using your own pictures is the best idea. I love the pictures in the post. You have a great eye!!! I also love the black and white with the pop of color. I hope you will post a picture when you are finished with the project, it's going to be awesome!!!!

I love to cook too, but I am in a slump with recipes and the baby came home so I am tired and not feeling up to cooking. But, I do love it.

And happy happy happy BIRTHDAY to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope it was wonderful with that cake it must have been... :)

We are going to my dad's beach house tomorrow- just like you used the last of your summer peaches we are going to have our last summer BBQ. Happy weekend!
