Newgrange and Monasterboice
If you have ever been a parent to a teenager, it is sometimes hard to get them to talk. They talk in one answer sentence. Roman and my mother visited the Newgrange monument yesterday along with Monasterboice, located in the Boyne Valley near Drogheda. Newgrange is a prehistoric monument dating to around 3000 B.C. It is older than the Stonehedge and the pyramids in Eygpt. It was a tomb of some sort designed in a circular pattern. After visiting Newgrange, they went to Monsasterboice/ Monsasterboice, a cemetery for the Monastic people. There, you will find the remains of two churches and graves. The churches were used until the 13 century. Little is known of the people except for a list of presiding abbots. The area today is a part of the national monuments of Ireland. They ended their day with lunch/dinner at the Valley Inn, where they ate a traditional Irish dinner. Oh, I forgot to mention that while they were at Monasterboice, they met an older lady named Jennifer Violet Shaw. Apparently, she was once a lawyer, but in proper Irish form, she chatted their ears off. This is something my mother loves about Ireland. The people are so friendly.

WOW, you make me happy with those images as our footsteps lay there from 1984 and 1991. Ireland is so lovely and we have given seminars all around.
Special memories and glad your Roman with your Mom got to visit there.
Finally upgraded the messed up video + Memorial Service, it is on my blog right now.
Feeling good about it and knowing I tried the utmost, will have made my Pieter happy—no doubt. Some insignificant people always will mess up things...
Yes, people in Ireland are very friendly!!!
Hugs,
