Hampton Beach

When we go North to see our family, there are 3 beaches we usually go to Hampton, Rye, and York.  We used to go to Salsbury and Revere but one is too windy and the other has become a little divey to put it politely.  I really do like the Cape as the sand is so lovely out on that peninsula, but I don't like the drive or the traffic out there.  Maybe when the children get older.  It was nice that the beach wasn't too crowded this year.  It was actually pretty weird how quiet the beach was, but I am not complaining as it was really easy to get a parking spot.  We were also so lucky to have amazing weather for our whole trip.  Only two afternoons with some rain showers, but it was a nice change from the hot hot days.  I  wouldn't mind being at the beach right now.  Wish we could teleport there! There is nothing better than the smell of fresh seawater and then eating lunch by the ocean. The children had so much fun hunting for crabs in the rocks. Poor little crabs!

A day at the beach is lovely. Sun, sea, salty air and sand. Also a bonus when not crowded and parking works. Great that the children had fun filling their bucket with sea crabs. The Cape is beautiful but very busy (as you state), making it truly less desirable. You chose the best beach options... Susan
