Dollywood

 

Dollywood is one of my favorite amusement parks in the United States.  The day started off a little cloudy, but ended in sunshine.  While we did go on a few rides, the girls mostly wanted to watch the music performances.  Dollywood does a great job of showcasing the region's music, which is bluegrass and gospel music.  It was a fun day!  From the photos, you can see that the park was dressed in flowers and flower sculptures. We arrived during the food and flower festival.  We all had a fantastic day! This was, say, the 6th day of summer vacation.  On Day 7, we were supposed to head home after getting the brake pads fixed, but they didn't have the parts we needed, so they couldn't fix the car until later in the day.  I took an Uber back to the hotel, and Nana, the girls, and I walked over to Gorilla Taco for lunch.  Afterwards, the girls went swimming and soaked in the hot tub while I finished my book.   Finally, on day 8, we headed home, stopping at the Cracker Barrel in Chattanooga for lunch.
