Historical Oldtown Galveston

Given how busy we have been the last week and a half, it seems like forever ago that we were enjoying spring break in Texas. Honestly, it feels like a lifetime ago.  We arrived in Galveston late on Saturday night, and by the time Roman and Harris arrived, it was almost bedtime.  The next day, we hung out at the hotel and enjoyed the sunny day. On Monday, we drove into the city center.  The architectural detailing on the buildings is incredible.  In its heyday, Galveston must have been a glorious place.  I can just imagine women in their beautiful dresses and sun umbrellas, and men in suits and top hats, even in the summer heat. We took the opportunity to stroll in and out of some of the shops before heading to lunch.  The girls wanted Raising Cane's, and Harris, Roman, and I went to Cooper Landing.  The food was delicious.
