Run Addy Run

Hi!  How are you?  Did you have a good weekend?  How is your week going so far?  I am grateful that we have had some respite from the rain.  The trees are all beautiful shades of gold, brown, and red and the fireplace is giving us much joy and comfort.  This fall we signed up our daughter Addy for a running club called Girls on the Run. It is such a wonderful program that not only teaches the girls how to run but that they are strong and that they can do anything that their hearts on. This past weekend Addy and all the groups of girls from the Atlanta area ran in a 5K race.  Addy placed 1st out of her group of 12 girls and 30th out of all the hundreds of girls who ran. We couldn't be prouder of her; especially, since she wasn't so keen to run in the beginning.  Each week she came home with a smile on her face and would say something like, "Mom, I ran 10 laps today."  and then the next week she would come home and say, "Mom I ran 16 laps today."  I am grateful for the program and I am grateful she learned that she could do hard things.  Way to go Addy!

What a great thing for Addy to do! Congrats!
It is a tremendous accomplishment for Addy and she deserves our admiration. And so do her proud parents who encouraged and supported her. Bravo to all concerned.

Congrats to Addy. One of my grandsons was bullied last year and then he started running. He is always in the top three at meets (he is 10)and it has helped him so much with feeling good about himself. He has learned to love running!
Have a wonderful week! xo Diana
