Rome, Georgia

This spring break we choose to stay close to home. One afternoon, we drove to Rome Georgia which is just a little more than an hour from our house.  Rome has a lovely old city center right out of the 1950s and there we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Harvest Moon Cafe followed by yummy popsicles.  I enjoyed the raspberry cheesecake, Nana had the key lime pie, Avery chocolate, and Ivy got fruity pebbles., Afterwards, we drove over to Berry College which is a lovely 27,000 Acre campus that looks like you are walking the grounds of Cambridge.  It has also been the set of many movies like Sweet Home Alabama.  Sadly, we didn't have enough time to explore the whole campus.  I am hoping to go back in a few weeks to do an engagement photo shoot.  I wouldn't say that Rome has a lot to offer in terms of things to see and do, but if you are passing through it is worth the stop.

The campus looks like a good place to walk around full of beautiful buildings.
What a lovely photo of Berry College in Rome!
We have passed through on our way to Chattanooga but never stopped there...
Once on a flight from Europe, we met a teacher from Berry College, Rome and that was interesting.
It looks like a lovely and happy stop for you all.
Thanks for your comment on my post SECRETS of the Heart. It is a great book!
