San Antonio

Traveling to Texas has been on our to-do list for years.  We actually came to Texas with the boys years ago when we stayed in Galveston for a week, but I don't really count that trip because it was a beach trip. We never made it into any of the other cities.  The problem is who wants to drive to Texas with little kids when the drive is 15 hours.  Not me!  Finally, this year we felt the kids could handle the trip so we booked a week on Canyon Lake just north of San Antonio.  It is a lovely location with so many things around us to see and do.  Yesterday, we headed into the city and saw the Alamo and the many other historical sites around town.  The girls had fun on the boat on the riverwalk and hearing the music at the market square.  It was a great day and the clouds offered a perfect amount of shade.  The sun and heat are back and today we enjoyed the morning by the pool while hanging out with a good friend of ours Rebecca.  I am looking forward to tomorrow because we are headed north to Waco.  See you back soon!

Dearest Kelleyn,
Glad you made it all the way there and are able to show happy photos.
The weather looks pleasant, no wind when looking at the limp flags.
Here we have Tornado watch right now and rain and more rain all day.
Hugs,
Mariette
