Austin

A last-minute decision to get ice cream led us to Austin.  While we could have gotten ice cream much closer, we thought it was fun to see what the city had to offer.  We discovered that you could rent boats on Lake Lady Bird.  The kids thought this was really fun and was certainly a much better option than walking around the city.  I think this is a memory that they will cherish for years to come.  After boating, we headed over to Terri Blacks BBQ which is pretty famous in these parts.  We got there just in time because about 15 minutes after getting there the line was around the parking lot.  The food was pretty good, so I am sure this explains the line.  I would hate to see what it is like on a weekend.  Then as we went home we made a quick stop at the Welcome to Austin street art which gave us a quick glimpse into south Austin where you can find a ton of food trucks.  Austin is a city I will most definitely want to visit again.
