Tea Party
Hi! How are you? I am looking forward to the weekend though I am going to steer clear of the city. We are expecting over a million visitors to the city this weekend because of the Super Bowl. My husband who normally works in the city got permission to work from home tomorrow, so that he wouldn't have to combat the traffic which is already crazy without the addition of all the shenanigans from the events surrounding the Super Bowl. Today I threw the girls a tea party. They were so excited when they got home from school and saw the table decorated. I laid out dresses for them and they changed their clothes, brushed their hair and got their dolls ready. My husbands colleague brought us a box of Macrons from Laduree in Paris, I set out a bowl of strawberries, a plate of hummus and carrots and a pot of hot cocoa. Seriously, it took like 5 minutes to dress the table. It was that simple; however, it meant the world to the girls. Then we sat down and talked about their day at school. I think sometimes we think we need to do really fancy things for our kids, but sometimes it is just the simplest of actions that make the biggest impact. They said it was the best day ever and you know what it made my day too as I was having a little pity party because I am going to need an MRI on my shoulder and possibly surgery. The doctor feels like I should have made greater progress on gaining my mobility back. I still can't lift my arm all the way back over my head and forget about bringing it back behind my back. I am so frustrated. It just plain sucks. Well, I need to run because I need to take my son to the store to by a birthday present for his friends birthday party this weekend. Have a great weekend!

Went literally one time ever to a superbowl party, because my best friend invited me. Oh, and we left early, because after all the food, we didn't see any sense to crowd in a room where the TV was on to watch the game. That's my European view (lol).
Have been thinking how to say anything about your upcoming surgery - when I had carpel tunnel and sciatica I asked people who had the recommended operation, how much it had helped them (of course my doc told that I eventually needed surgery, but since my bro is an MD I always do research). Since it's caused by inflammation, I decided to try taking anti-inflammatory food.
After two years, also with prayers, I was back to my old self.
Especially with the last, several said they still were half of the time in pain after the operation. I know it's not the same operation, but I thought maybe you can ask some people for their experience.
