Lagoon

Originally known as Lake Park, Lagoon opened its doors in 1886 which is actually 10 years before Utah became a state. Lagoon is located just north of Salt Lake in the community of Farmington and is a really fun amusement park.  While it isn't Disney, this is a good thing because you don't have the Disney price tag and the long lines. We may have been lucky with the lines as it was pretty hot on the day we went.  We waited no more than 10 minutes for any given ride and we weren't even able to ride all the rides they had, and for most of the rides, we just walked right on. We enjoyed having Harris join us for the day and we had a great time.  The park features rides for all age groups and even features a water park section. Utah certainly has plenty of attractions to visit, but if you are looking for a fun place for children Lagoon was a big hit.
