Dresden Meeting the Mission President

                                                      Brother and Sister Nielson

After leaving Chemnitz, we booked it into Dresden where we parked our car at the church.  It just so happened that the zone conference was being held that day.  What is a zone conference?  It is an opportunity for the Mission President to touch basis with the missionaries, for the missionaries to hang out with one another, and for them to receive instruction on how to be better missionaries.  This conference is held every 6 weeks and the mission is divided up into zones.  Currently, the Berlin Mission is divided into 4 zones.  The mission stretches all the way from the border with Holland to the Polish and Czech border and just about an hour north of Frankfurt.  There are 3 missions that service Germany.  It was fun to meet the mission president, his wife, and all the missionaries my son had served with!  We also got to meet the senior missionary couple who are doubling as mission nurses.

Dearest Kelleyn,
What a perfectly timed meeting in Dresden with the Mission President and one can tell that your son appreciated this opportunity!
What an area this mission covers.
But you mention it wrongly in stating that it stretches all the way from the border with 'Holland'.
I'm Dutch by birth and just like my husband Pieter who is from the Province of Gelderland, and I'm from Limburg—both of our PROVINCES were on the border with Germany.
But NOT the Provinces North and South Holland; which are on the West. The country correctly is The Netherlands and not Holland.
The USA is not Carolina nor Dakota (those are but 2 states with a north and south version, just like the 2 Provinces of Holland, within The Netherlands...) 😉
Any parcel addressed with the country as Holland will come straight back to the SENDER.
Fond memories for you and your family!
Hugs,
Mariette
