Dinner with the Sisters
Summer is flying by and it is hard to believe we only have three weeks left here in Germany. It has become a tradition that when we are here in Germany we take the missionaries either out to dinner or have them over to our apartment for dinner. Sister Bronson and Sister Cuthbert just happen to be serving in our area. We took them out to the Chinese in Friedrichdorf. We plan on taking the Elders out next week. The children always enjoy these visits and it is also a nice way for us to serve them since their budgets are limited and they often don't get to go out for dinner. What are missionaries? We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The young women and young men of the church ages 18-26 have the opportunity to serve an 18 m to 2-year mission. They don't get to choose where they serve but submit paperwork and then are called to serve all over the world. Their work consists of more than just converting people to the church, they serve the communities in various ways and serve their local congregation. If you remember, my son is serving a mission and he is serving in the Berlin Germany Mission. He completes his mission in 16 days! We are so excited to see him as we have not seen him in 2 years.

You are a good Christian example of treating those that already sacrifice so much from their youth and free time!
What a joy it will be for seeing your son back after two years.
