Lisbon Part One
After leaving Sintra, we made our way to Lisbon. Sintra is about a half-hour drive from the city, so we were able to make it back into the town before sunset. Our first stop was the Belem Tower, located in the Belem district. There you will find a nice boardwalk, the Age of Exploration Monument, excellent restaurants, and some of the best egg tarts on the planet. Egg Tarts, also known as Pasteis de Nata, are served fresh and hot right out of the oven with a packet of cinnamon and powdered sugar. We tried them plain and with cinnamon sugar, and both are equally good. Then it was off to our hotel, where we chose to stay out by the airport since we would be leaving so early in the morning. Whoever thought that someone would want to get up at 2 in the morning to check in and depart by 5 a.m. is out of their mind, but to get the frequent miles, that is what a girl has to do. Stay tuned for part 2 of Lisbon.

That is familiar territory what you show in your photos here.
Rekindling fond memories...
Oh yes, we both have done the 'red-eye' flights for special tariffs or whatever! Having been over 1,500,000 miles up in the air, you've done it all.
Hugs,
Mariette
