1/2 Marathon

Our oldest son, who is 22, and currently living in Seattle for the summer, just ran his first 1/2 marathon.  Harris is not a runner.  He usually does a lot of walking, but this summer he took up running.  When I asked him how it went, he told me that it was super hard, and he almost didn't finish.  I am so proud of him for trying something new and going for it.  He has been having the summer of his life.  Back at the beginning of June, he went with some friends to San Fransico. Then on the 4th of July, he went to New York City for a week.  We can't wait to see where this next year brings him as he finishes up his last year of college and gets a job.  Way to go Harris!  We are so proud of you!

I've been to the Canadian west coast, but not the American. Terrific shots.
Dearest Kelleyn,
Wow, your Harris sure has been improving his endurance power; which is very good for everyone. Perseverance is a main ingredient for success!!!
The San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge almost was in the clouds...
Harris also was lucky for seeing Mount Rushmore's sculptures in South Dakota. Great trips and of course welcome images for the far-away but oh so proud Parents!
Hugs,
Mariette
