Soaking up the Sun in Kentucky
Hi! I am back from Kentucky! I hope you had equally a wonderful weekend. On Thursday, we drove up to Louisville, Kentucky to spend time with other adoptive families who also adopted from the same orphanage as my daughter Ivy; however, on Friday before the reunion started we spent the day with Stephanie who we met in 2014 when we adopted our daughter Avery. It was so great to meet new friends and along with visit old friends. We had a great time. On Thursday, we got there in time to eat dinner and watch a movie. Then on Thursday, we spent the morning at the Science Center followed by dinner with our friend Kimberly with her son and daughter. Then we finished the day with a swim which felt so good. On Saturday, we met our friends and headed to the zoo. The Louisville Zoo is fantastic! The day was super hot though, so it was good that we planned to spend the afternoon at the Waterfront Park at the splash pads and enjoy a picnic. The riverbank is beautiful. Sadly we had to say our goodbyes as the kids begin school this Thursday. I can't believe summer is over. Did you do anything fun over the weekend?
