Butzbach Here We Come

Just like that when you listen to you heart everything falls in place. We knew we were suppose to go to Germany this year, but things were not falling into place like we wanted them too. We couldn't find an apartment and even more difficult getting the children signed up for school despite them being citizens. Then my husband listened to his heart and realized the problem wasn't going to Germany but where in Germany we were trying to move to and decided that we needed to go live in his hometown where he grew up.  I wasn't so sure that it was going to work because his village is small and finding an apartment for our size of family is not so easy; however, within a week we had contacted a real estate agent, his mother went and looked at the apartment, and now we have a signed contract.  We are so excited as the children will be going to the same elementary school that their father went to and will be down the street from their grandmother.  The children are so excited.  5 months left until we leave! Butzbach here we come!

Your husband must be so happy to know his children will be at the same school he was at and it's always great to be close to a grandparent! Cute apartment too! I love those little shelves above the island!

You stay in Butzbach/Hessen? Our Aunt lives in the same federal state. Butzbach I know and like it and it's a really nice place to live!
Welcome to Germany!

Good for you, sometimes it all works out. That looks like a nice space and lots of shelves. What a great adventure with the important bonus of family and a hometown.
So fun for your family to be making this move, even if it's temporary! Great chance for them to spend time with Oma and Opa and practice their German! Viel Gluck!
Wow, that's a big move -- it will be interesting following you on your journey.

Alles Liebe
Heidi
