Nordkettern-Innsbruck

Innsbruck, Austria

This weekend we took a trip to Innsbruck. Innsbruck is about a 2-hour drive from St. Gallen. Located in the city along the river is the station to the Nordketten, which is a mountain above the city, from there you take the gondola up. We had a great time! Afterward, we visited with our friend Nadja who lived with us for two summers. Nadja made us a really yummy spaghetti dinner. It was so great seeing her again.

May 7, 2008 Adjustments
This week we have had a few adjustments. The first is two parking tickets on the same day because we didn't know we needed a parking permit. There were no signs posted. While I was paying the first and getting the pass we got the second ticket. Ugh! The second is climbing up several flights of stairs with a stroller. I thought this was great at first, but I am over it now. I would rather get a work out another way. The third thing is separating the garbage. Not only do you separate the paper, but the glass (green and white), plastic, aluminum, tin cans, they all must go in separate containers. I have piles of trash sitting around our apartment. Go environment! I know it is a good thing, but I am a lazy American with three children and the husband is away enjoying yummy meals in Italy under the banner of work while I protect the home front. I am just a little bit jealous.
