Schools Out and More!
School ended last week! The time since has been rather lazy for the children, but not so much for me; however, I have enjoyed a few mornings sleeping in past 8a.m. I will appreciate every morning between now and August as I do not enjoy getting up at 6:20 a.m. It really should be criminal to ask anyone to get up before sunrise. Since school has been out we have enjoyed a few days by the pool, watched a few movies, prepared for girls camp which is next week, hung out with friends, and slept. Given how late the girls are sleeping each day, I really think they need the sleep. Also, Roman got his braces off today, but I don't think he will let me get any pictures of his beautiful new smile. Well, it is late and I should head to bed myself.
Ivy and I made this Blueberry Buckle Cake.
I drove Roman into the city for a concert and saw this street art on the way home
Addy performed in her school's spring choir performance!
Our Winston celebrated his 22nd birthday!

Sadly, I received notice that my friend Dorothy Klaasen passed away in November.
She was a mother to 5 and grandmother to 1. She lived in Australia. She was 82.
I am not sure of the exact cause of death, but I believe it was related to her broken hip.
I can't wait to see him! He is joining me in Germany!
Miss Erica, Miss Sarah, and Brooks met the big kids at the bus on the last day.
A water fight ensued.
I took Ivy, Avery, and Milena to see the movie IF!
They gave it a thumbs-up!
Addy had some friends over to swim.
We went to dinner as a family
the others are getting to be stinkers about taking photos.
Everyone was there except Harris and Winston
We made mocktails called the swimming pool an old German recipe.
Instead of Vodka, we added sparkling water, a few drops of rum flavoring, and non-alcoholic Curacao
Comments
Sounds like you are speeding into a busy summer, except for getting up at 6:20 AM.
That Blueberry Buckle Cake looked so yummy and no doubt got eaten up fast...
Dorothy Klaasen sounds like a Dutch name, either she or her husband's last name.
Winston already 22... How time flies!
Hugs,
Mariette
