500 years of Reformation

On October 31, 1517 Martin Luther nailed his 95 thesis on the church door to the castle door of Wittenburg.  He forever changed the world with this one act which I must say must have taken a lot of courage to do as it was no easy road for him afterwards. He also translated the Bible into German bringing the Bible to the masses.  I can't imagine not being able to read God's words for myself.  This year Germany is celebrating Martin Luther and there have been exhibts and all kinds of activities throughout the country.  Yesterday, was a holiday in his honor. We had a great day even it it was far from our traditional Halloween festivities. The kids went on carnival rides, ate cotton candy, and we even ate lunch at Oma's church.  As Addy proclaimed, "It was the best day ever."
