Taste of Fall

Fall has finally arrived to my corner of the world.  While it is still not cold enough to wear a sweater, I am happy to be wearing jeans again and the trees are just gorgeous.  This week we are finishing up our soccer season and I have to say I will not miss it.  I will be happy to have 4 less activities a week and more time at home.  Soccer games are fun when you spend the whole time chasing a baby around the field.  Right now I am enjoying to new tv series.   Have you seen Heart of Dixie or Nashville?  The first one you can watch on Netflix.  Today I made this super simple apple snack cake.  Yum is all I can say.  My husband hasn't had a chance to try it yet, but he is going to love it!  He loves apple desserts.  Well, I hopeyou are having a fantastic Tuesday.

Apple Snack Cake
2 eggs
1 cup of oil
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
4 cups of apples
1 cup of chopped walmuts
then add 1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1 teaspoon of baking soda
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
2 cups of flour
Bake in a 9 by 13 baking dish at 325 degrees for 45- 60 minutes or until cake is done in the middle.
I found the recipe on this blog and changed the sugar to add more flavor and depth.  Enjoy!

I agree, apple anything is the best. These look great. Going to give it a try. Haven't seen any of these shows you mention. But if you want to swap show ideas...we are watching The Paradise off of the BBC and it's fantastic. Have a great week!
