Seattle "Blue"

Hi!  I am back!  I had the most amazing 5 days in Seattle.  It was just what this mom of  4 needed to recharge her batteries and get back into the swing of things.  I don't know about you, but while I look forward to my children going back to school them being in school it is sometimes harder then having them be at home.  The lazy days of summer are over and no more getting up when you want.  Homework needs to be completed and sometimes they just don't want to do it. Like right now my oldest has to read a book and he is just dragging his feet.  I don't like being the mean momma who has to nag.  Then there is the stupid bus driver who thinks he rules the world and has to call me about every little thing.  He called me while I was in Seattle and told me that my son got up out of his seat too early and was in the aisle and would I please speak to him.  I kindly told him I would, but seriously!!!!  Anyway, what started out to be a grey day in Seattle turned out to be an amazingly beautiful day.  The sun came out and Seattle said, "Here look at me, aren't I gorgeous."  It couldn't have gotten any better.  Addy and I took a ride with my good friend and her daughter on the new ferrris wheel located on the pier near the aquarium.  Addy thought it was fantastic!  I can't believe summer is almost over and soon fall will be knocking on our door.  Labor Day is this weekend and for me that seems to make it seem even more real that summer is over.  We still aren't sure if we are going to stay at home or head to the beach, but whatever we decide to do I am sure it will be fun!  Do you have any plans for Labor Day ? Well, I still haven't unpacked my suitcase.  It is really late and in a few hours I will be putting two boys on the school bus, so I better say goodbye for now.  Stay tuned for more photos from my trip to Seattle.  Oh, and I am playing along with Francesca who is posting about different colors this week.  If you don't know Francesca you should head over and meet her.  She leads an amazing life with her three children and husband in Italy. See you soon!

I hate school time schedule, but I'd love a school bus driver, even a pesky one! :)
Glad you & your girl had a good time in Seattle!

Looks like a great time! My favorite part of Seattle was watching the men throw around huge slabs of salmon at the market. :) Love that ferris wheel photo.

I really must make it a point to stop and visit Seattle one of these days. Been in WA state a couple of times, but never really stopped in Seattle. :(
