For the Love of Food "red"

I wouldn't be lying to you when I tell you I went straight from the airport to eat at a restaurant called Skillet.  I had seen Skillet featured a few months ago on the Food Network and ever since hearing about it knew it was going to be one of my favorite places of all time to eat.  It truly lived up to all the hype.  I had the Angus burger on a brioche bun served with blue cheese, arugula, and bacon jam.  You heard me right "bacon jam."  I honestly think I heard a choir of angels sing upon my first bite.  The combination is perfection of salty, sweet, and creamy.  The fries served with it weren't to shabby either.  I love when fries still have a part of the skins still on them. No ketchup necessary for this burger.  One will not go hungry in a city like Seattle.  Seriously the city has it going on whether you are a meat lover like me, a vegan, or suffer from food allergies.  Just about every restaurant we visited during our visit had options for those who must eat Gluten Free.  I don't know about you, but I think a cities food really says a lot about the city and so wherever I go I try to eat at the local restaurants and try to stay away from the chain restaurants.  So it was a hard job eating all that great food this past week, but someone had to do it.  Here is where I ate: Skillet located on Capitol Hill, Copacabana a Bolivian restaurant across the street from Pike Place Market, Portage Bay Cafe located in the U-District with my partner in crime and her family Jenna, Cupcakes from Cake Envy located on Green lake, and wished I had eaten at but ran out of time Maximus Minumus a food truck located and is shaped like a giant pig.  Next time!  Tell me what is the best restaurant you have eaten at whether at home or while on vacation.  Today's theme is red over at Francesca .

Yummy - and I can´t get over that fab haircut, suited the red color SO good! :-)
Traveling is good for people like us who have passion for food. :P "..angels sing upon my first bite" - what a creative explanation, Kelleyn. The number of retailers of Angus burger is increasing due to its popularity. As far as I can remember, McDonald's has test-marketed their own version of this sandwich in three varieties, the BK version, the mushroom Swiss and the bacon cheese, last 2006 and they all came out great.
