Bedroom Makeover Part One

A few weeks ago, I began the mission of making the house seem more homey.  See the problem is that when we lived in our old house it was much smaller, so there was no room for a lot of extra stuff and to be honest I would rather just use the money to vacation with, but I took one look at our bedroom and I said enough.  Even I don't want to sleep in there!  My husband too be honest could care less.  All he cares about is he too hot or too cold and is the mattrass comfy.  Doesn't this bedroom look sad to you??  In the far left corner are side tables that we purchased a year and a half ago, but have never gotten around to building.  As you can see in the second photo they still aren't built, but hopefully I can get my sweet husband to build them in the next week or two.

Step One:  Buying new linens.  First I had to find some I like an pic a color theme that I like. I love the color combination of yellow and grey so now that I have the linens.  I just need to purchase some small throw pillows.  and look for some wall art.

Well, the room is not finished.  Stay tuned!  I am off to Seattle in the morning, to visit my good friend Jennifer and my grandpa who had a heart attack.  He is doing great and I am excited to see him.!  I will see you when I get back.  I hope you have a great week!

You can build them! (even if boring, I'm like that myself)- and treat yourself to something nice afterwards! Have a nice trip to Seattle:)

Wow, your bedroom looks so BIG - I wish I had a bigger one for us as well. Have fun making those small changes, it will look great! Glad your grandpa is doing fine during the circumstances!

I think your bed looks pretty. Good luck with the rest of the transformation! And have fun in Seattle. I'm glad your grandpa's feeling okay!
It's a beautiful space! I stopped asking Jack to build IKEA stuff and just started doing it myself because he hates doing it! :-) You deserve a space that makes you happy when you wake up! Cannot wait to see more!
