B is for

B is for Boys having a Bake Sale selling Bakerella Cake Pops for charity and other yummy food items so we can make Baby Blankets for Babies with CHD.
Today we had a Bake Sale and made a $130 dollars which we will use to purchase material for around 25 blankets. The boys who have been begging to have a lemonade stand for two years had fun setting up but lost interest about an hour later. The did stick it out till the end though. I am not even sure if they really understand why we are giving the money away to be used for charity. My hope as a mother is that by doing so it will plant a seed of charity and service in their hearts for a lifetime. Afterward, the boys and I went to the neighborhood movie under the stars on the tennis courts. We watched Scooby Doo and the Goblin King. Cute Movie! The evening was perfect. After being 80 degrees today, it cooled to a wonderful 60 degrees. The stars were out in full force accompanied by a crescent moon. Winston fell asleep after the first half hour. Running a bake sale is exhausting.

love the bake sale - what a good thing to teach your children, and I want to know how to make cupcake pops!
