Disney or Bust
Dole Whip Break-Yummy!
What a fun 5 days Addy had this week as she attended Festival Disney with her choral group from school. On day one they drove from Georgia to Orlando with a pit stop for lunch at the Florida-Georgia line for lunch. They stayed at the Pop Century Hotel which gave them early entrance and late stay at the parks. Day 2 they spent the day at Magic Kingdom and received bad news that their choir director had COVID-19. The search was on for help. Everyone had a blast as you can see in the photos. The group comprised 6,7, and 8 graders from both the choir and drama club. Day 3 they could sleep in just a bit as they had a 11:45 performance call at Saratoga Springs. They knocked it out of the park with their piano player as the director and used a soundtrack for their music which was difficult as the soundtrack was slightly different. They received superior ratings this is no surprise because they had worked so hard and their choir teacher was amazing. Then it was on to Epcot. Day 4 they all got up super early to be there for rope drop to go on the Rise of the Resistance ride which is a part of the Star Wars section at Hollywood Studios. The evening ended with awards which they won Best in Class, 1st place for their grade division -middle school, and their entry for soloist also first place. Day 5 they traveled home. Given that Addy can barely talk, she had a fun time. I am so glad she could go with her group this year.

What a fun trip they organized for the entire choir!
Great experience and also quite an achievement for receiving superior ratings—that shows that hard work and discipline do pay off!
Congrats to everyone and above all to the choir teacher.
Don't worry about Addy's voice... that will soon be back 🤗
Hugs,
