Istanbul Continued
After our boat ride, it was time to get some lunch. We stopped at a restaurant close to our hotel. The food was delicious. We both had shish-kabobs. We ordered too much food due to a lack of communication. English does not predominate in the city, nor is their English translation on the menus. This is probably where a good translation app would have come in handy. Our bad! We made a stop at the hotel so I could change my clothes. I wanted to get into a longer dress to make it easier to go into the Hagia Sophia Mosque. Before heading out, we took pictures at the hotel's rooftop. So pretty! I wish we had more time to sit up and enjoy the few. Looking at our watches, we realized that the Baazar was closing soon, so we quickly walked up to the Baazar for a quick peek. Honestly, one could spend hours there if you were interested in serious shopping. Then, it was time to head over to the Mosque. I have to say that after having been in the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia was kind of disappointing. It wasn't nearly as beautiful. Waiting until evening was worth it because we could just walk in, although there was still a crowd inside. We could have probably used one more day in Istanbul, but we just didn't have the time available to make that happen.

Indeed you could have used one more day for this fabulous city!
The Hagia Sofia is such an iconic original Christian Church...
