Peachy

On a hot day in June
5 little girls meandered and weaved
through the lush peach grove
giggling and smiling
proud and amazed
as they filled their buckets to the brim
with sweet golden globes
the house will smell amazing
as mama bakes a cobbler
bellies full and heart's content
oh, what joy a summer day brings.

Dearest Kelleyn,
What a beautiful poem in the end and the photos are like poems too!

...peachy keen, something that I have to wait for.
If you were to ask me to name my favourite fruit, my reply would no doubt be influenced by what was ripe at the time, but when the peaches are fresh from the tree in the Niagara region, a juice peach dripping down my chin would be hard to beat.
So pretty all around! Love the poem!

One of the best times of the year. LOVE your cute photos and I can just smell the sweet scent. I had part of a peach for breakfast so that helps. Hugs!

I LOVE Fresh Peaches! Peaches never grow here in the Philippines so we only had canned ones when I was growing up. But time to time in Manila, there are markets that sell the fresh ones imported from China and Spain :)
