Into the Wild Photography Retreat

About 8 years ago, I started following a Utah based photographer and over the years she and her now ex-husband have thrown some retreats and photo workshops.  Well, when I found out that she was doing a collaboration with Arizona based photographer and fellow adoptive mom Nancy Meyer I knew I needed to attend.  It was also being held in Moab, Utah which was also on my bucket list of places to visit.  I was a little nervous at first because I had never met either woman in person nor did I know any of the women attending the workshop: I did not need to worry because Wendy and Nancy were amazing as well as the other 12 women who came. All so different, yet we laughed till our bellies ached, found peace in the beauty of the landscape and the yoga lessons, and enjoyed wonderful food provided by Bree Hester of Baked Bree blog.  The food seriously was amazing!!! I picked up new skills in photography and new friends that I hope will last a lifetime. Thank you, Wendy and Nancy.

I would definitely attend another retreat with Wendy and her followers!  Feeling so blessed that I got to attend given that had the retreat been a week later, none of us would have been able to go!

Dearest Kelleyn,
Wow, you were some daring ladies for hiking that way!
Great photos and video.
Glad you went before this media frenzy...

What a wonderful way to end complete social freedom and move into the isolationist mode we are being urged to live in until the pandemic passes. I hope you and your family are all well, and staying safe!
How wonderful! So happy you had a good time. It is sometimes hard to get out of your comfort zone but you proved it was worth the effort! #AllSeasons
I'm so glad you had such a wonderful experience. I love the environment too. Stay safe!

Hoped you would tell more of your trip ... and you did:) Great once in a while to be an adult without kids, and do adult things, eh? The rope climbing would have been challenging for me! Am thrilled you had such a great time and also learned some more about photography.
Many thanks for sharing this experiece with All Seasons! Part of my heart is in Utah as well, because of the colors and the textures, even in cindering heat (we went in July). Don't know if your kids are doing school at home, but wishing you strength and patience to cope with all the changes in the coming months! Have a healthy and comfortable week!
