Monday Morning

The kids went back to school today.  Can you see me doing a happy dance?  Actually, they were ready to go back too. They missed their friends and were frankly bored which isn't a bad thing. This past week while we had a playdate with some new friends from church, we mostly hung out at the house.  The girls did a lot of painting and playing with their playmobile while Roman read a new book by J.K Rowling and played Minecraft.  He Skyped his friends back in America. It has been too cold to do anything; especially, this morning it is bitter cold. Today I am just going to enjoy the peace and quiet; however, the rest of the week I am going to scrub down the apartment as my best friends from high school are coming next Monday.  Hope you had a lovely weekend!  See you back here soon!

Lovely when they come; lovely when they go, just so long as you know, they'll be back. Reclaiming life after the holidays -- it can take awhile!

Hi, lovely to have you join us on Mosaic Monday for the first time this week, but.....the clue in the title of this meme. If you could just include a collage/mosaic in your post next time that would be excellent!
Thanks.
I enjoy a peaceful Monday morning...most of the time. Your flowers look so peaceful and pretty.

My kids are grown so I no longer worry about back to school, but I do remember those days and doing that same happy dance :)
Your 'today' sounds lovely, your 'tomorrow' not so much! But even cleaning is a pleasure when the reason is that you're looking forward to a great visit from old friends.

Change happens every day and I think we have to learn to embrace it.
Painting, reading...sounds like a good time to me. Have a wonderful time with your friend. A very lovely photo, perfect for a Monday morning :)

I'm a teacher and I wasn't quite ready to see the students yet, but come they did, and they were lovely. I hope you have a great time with your high school friend. The vase of flowers is very pretty.
