Austin Part 1

Frank and I took a little trip to visit our son Harris.  Harris has lived in Austin for the better part of 2 years. He moved there to start a business with his college friend Riley.  I will talk about that in a week or so, once I am given the OK, as they are in the process of creating a press release; however, this was the weekend of their launch party to celebrate what they had accomplished.  We are so proud of him.  Anyway, Frank and I arrived in Austin around 2:30. After picking up our rental car, we drove to Pease Park to see the toll by Thomas Dambo, a Danish artist.  I have written about some of his other trolls, but this one is named Malin.  She is holding a bowl to remind us to share water and resources with the animals and others around us.  Then we headed into the Austin city center as we were starving.  We dropped off our luggage and took an Uber to Roaring Forks. The food was amazing.  I had steak and mashed potatoes followed by cheesecake.  Frank also enjoyed a steak topped with a lovely sauce and tomatoes, and a bowl of tortilla soup.  It was cold outside by the time we finished our dinner, so we just headed back to the hotel and called it a night.
