Apple Picking 19

Darn it, we may be in the middle of a heatwave, but that isn't going to stop us from doing are traditional fall activities. Not sure when mother nature is going to get the memo that it is fall, but I wouldn't mind a little cooler weather.  I am done with 91 degrees and humidity to boot.  Yuck!  The children still had a great time and that is all that matters.  My girls love their traditions and they are not ready to let them go!  We finished off our afternoon with a quart of apple cider and doughnuts.

Totally agree with you, the weather is not going to keep us from following our traditions! Very strange, at several places in the USA it's quite hot, but today I had the wood stove on, and tomorrow too with nights in the low 40ties! Hope not this reversal is going to continue! I notic your youngest is losing the baby fat in her face, she's growing up! Thank you much for sharing these great shots of the girls with the apples for All Seasons:) Have a bright and cool week.

Terrific shots!

It's a busy time of year; my cousin will no doubt be working in his orchard.

These are a few of my favorite things...as the song goes...fresh picked apples, cider and donuts, and a kitten too! The girls do look happy.

Your girls are having so much fun! We went last week in the mountains and it was foggy and cold. But still a great day! I saw your comment about your family going to Normandy, and I think your kids will find plenty to interest them. The museums have lots of activities for all ages. I loved seeing kids getting interested in history!
