Strawberry Season

Hi!  How are you?  Hope all is going well with you!  Spring has brought us such crazy weather.  One minute it is 85 degrees and the next it is totally frigid and freezing cold. Last week, it was the later barely 50 degrees and the rain was a surprise because they had forecasted sunny weather-hence for the shorts. My girls love wearing short and will do so any opportunity they get.  Thankfully, I was smart enough to pack the coats in the car for back-up.  Just  45 minutes south of Atlanta is a gorgeous farm called Southern Belle farm, which offers everything from strawberries, peaches, and apples in the fall.  The children had a blast picking strawberries and then afterward petting the animals.  It was to wet to go down the slides, but I am sure we will go back at the end of summer for peaches.  The strawberry shortcake was no joke -so delicious.  Good thing we have plenty here at home now to make our own.  What are you up to this weekend.  Have a great time whatever comes your way.  See you back here soon.

Awesome to be able to pick your own strawberries! This year Calif. is late with their produce - this weekend the strawberry patch was open for the first time! Hope your kids had fun, even though it looks kind of windy and cold! Love your first capture - a keeper! All Seasons thanks you for sharing:)
After seeing the buckets full of strawberries that your girls picked, Kelleyn, you will be enjoying a lot of strawberry shortcake at home. The weather has been crazy in Nashua NH as well.

It won't be until summer for strawberries to be grown here.

You're a bit ahead of us here but soon we'll be picking them, too.
That looks like a really cool farm. Hope you enjoyed your visit.

...I often see round bales painted for Halloween, but never for strawberry season. We will have to wait until June for local berries.
It'll be quite a while before local strawberries will be ripe here in the Pacific Northwest. When I lived in Southern California I often could find stands already selling in early March for my birthday dessert. - Margy

Hello, looks like a fun visit to pick strawberries. They look yummy. Cute shots of the kiddies. Enjoy your day! Happy new month of May to you!
Fun photos! The gigantic hay bales painted with strawberries are awesome. The strawberries look amazing. We planted some recently and they are starting to fruit. Fingers crossed for strawberry shortcake here!
The little girl has suitable coat for the day. :) Lovely photos!

Wow - those are massive strawberries! Almost as big as the girls! I could think of a lot of menu items for those. For our weekend, I hosted a craft group on Saturday and then Sunday was project day around the house - I think I would have rather been at the Farm with you!
What lovely pics! Looks like they had fun. It's also the strawberry season over here. We eat as much as we pick when we go ;-)
Love the photos! Specially the giant strawberries on the truck. Looks like they had a lot of fun. It’s strawberry season here too, just had some for dessert tonight :)
