The Holidays
It was a busy weekend. On Friday, Ivy and Avery performed
their Christmas recital. The girls did a fantastic job. Afterwards, we went to
dinner. On Saturday morning, the young women kidnapped Ivy and the other girls
who were moving up into the young women's program, and they had a breakfast and
Christmas party. That afternoon, I made dinner for the Vera family as they just
had a baby. I cooked Frank dinner, got Roman from the Marta, and then dropped
Addy off at a seminary party before Ivy, Avery, and I went to see Liliana
perform in the play Hunchback of Notre Dame. The performance was so good.
Liliana did such a fantastic job. Sunday wasn't any less busy. I got up and
prepared to teach the 8-year-old class at church, made a pot roast, dropped
Roman back off at the Marta, took Avery over to Kelly's to drop off cookies,
and then we celebrated Advent by playing Una and drinking hot cocoa. All good
things, but I am tired. I'd better head to bed. Morning comes quickly, and I
definitely don't get enough sleep.
I am looking forward to this next week being over and hopefully being able to sleep in a couple of days, but I am also looking forward to Harris and Winston coming home for Christmas.
