Myrtle Beach

Hi!  We just got back from Utah, and I was going to post those photos, but then I realized that I never finished posting the pictures from our time in Myrtle Beach with my mom.   After saying goodbye to my friend in Savannah, we drove to Beaufort, South Carolina.  We arrived a little later than I had planned, so we didn't have much time to walk around before sunset.  We grabbed ice cream and explored a local church and the surrounding graveyard.  The graves dated back at least a couple of hundred years.  While some may find cemeteries morbid, I find them interesting as I imagine the lives of those who are laid to rest.  I didn't recognize any of the names, but I imagine there were some significant historical figures among the dead.   After switching hotels because I made a mistake in booking, we tucked in for the night, and the next morning, after grabbing breakfast, we headed straight for Myrtle Beach. It was a gorgeous sunny day. Having cashed in our points from our timeshare, we were able to stay on the beach this time.  The resort was beautiful! They had a fun DJ playing music, and it was just lovely to walk along the beach, play in the sand, and relax. We stayed there two nights before moving to another hotel in town.  Where is Addy?  She didn't go with us this trip because she is on the cross-country running team and must train all summer long.
